Modernizing Engineering Platforms with Witzenmann
Through a Build-Operate-Transfer model, xelerate.tech is helping Witzenmann build a high-performing engineering team in Porto to develop its next-generation Product Experience Platform. The solution connects engineering, ERP, and CRM systems, creating a scalable digital foundation that improves efficiency, collaboration, and customer experience.
Witzenmann is the global market leader in flexible metallic elements — metal hoses, expansion joints, bellows, and pipe supports — serving the automotive, aerospace, energy, and industrial engineering sectors. Founded in 1854 in Pforzheim, Germany, and operating under the motto “Managing Flexibility,” the family-owned group comprises 22 companies across 19 countries and employs over 4,500 people worldwide.
xelerate.tech and Witzenmann have partnered to set up a dedicated IT Hub in Porto, following the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model.
The mission: replace Witzenmann’s fragmented IT landscape — legacy tools, custom spreadsheets, CAD models, and disconnected ERP/CRM systems — with a unified, browser-based Product Experience Platform (PEP).
xelerate.tech is responsible for building and operating the Porto squad, recruiting top engineering talent to deliver an API-first orchestration layer that connects SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, and Witzenmann’s engineering systems through a modern, composable architecture.
