Accelerate ISS's Facility Management Digital Innovation — Success stories

ISS and xelerate.tech have partnered to establish ISS Tech Portugal, a new technology center focused on accelerating digital transformation. The teams are developing innovative solutions in IoT, mobile, data, and integrations, supporting ISS’s global operations and enhancing services for hundreds of thousands of employees and customers worldwide.

ISS is a Danish-headquartered world-leading provider of facility management services (cleaning, catering, security, support, workplace services, and technical issues…).

Its history began in 1901. Currently, ISS has 370.000 (three hundred and seventy thousand) employees, and 40.500 (forty thousand five hundred) customers across more than 30 countries.

Technology is seen as a key tool to support this transformation. ISS started investing in its own software engineering competences, adopting and creating high-end innovative tech solutions, hiring the most talented IT people, and creating a unique and agile IT working model and collaboration culture based on engineering best practices and nordic quality of life.

ISS chose xelerate.tech as their partner to help build their first tech center in Portugal. This center is working on a portfolio of highly interesting and innovative topics that will impact in a very positive way our society and our lives. And that brought us together.

ISS Tech Portugal will majorly contribute to ISS’s global goal to accelerate integrated digital technologies and establish innovative digital products for its 350,000 internal employees and 40,000 global customers. Developing disruptive and high-quality solutions in the IoT, Mobile, Data and Integrations areas is the key focus for the new teams in Portugal.
